Coral Reef Monitoring System
Indira developed an underwater AR system that allows marine biologists to collect and visualize coral health data in real-time. The system overlays temperature readings, pH levels, and species identification directly onto the researcher's field of vision through waterproof AR displays.
What started as a semester project has grown into a collaboration with the Australian Institute of Marine Science. The system is currently deployed at monitoring stations along the Great Barrier Reef, where it's helping researchers track coral recovery patterns more efficiently than traditional methods.
